Sorry, I've been gone for a while. I just traveled all over China - to Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Yangshuo, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. Here are some pictures from my vacation. Click to enlarge.
Location: Halo Lounge
City: Atlanta, GA
The entrance is nondescript. You would probably walk right past it, thinking it was a random back door of the Biltmore Hotel. Even though Prohibition is over, the spirit of the speakeasy still lives.
These BCBG Max Azria back seam stockings ($12, in the Persian Blue color) are so fierce! I finally got a chance to wear them today. Winter is definitely not over yet. In Atlanta, we seem to get all four seasons within one week in March.
Below, you will see me rocking the huge paper MediShorts I had to wear during the MRI scan of my lower spine. I asked the MRI technician whether I could keep them, and she laughingly said, "Yes." MediShorts remind me of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. Behold the awesomeness.
Take that, fashion police. I think I look fabulous, even if I am breaking your fashion rule that petite women should never wear calf-length articles of clothing (skirts, dresses, pants).
I know it's not high fashion, but my friends look great in their classic American clothes. We all need some great basics to wear, because they can continue to look good even years from now. My striped green shirt, shorts, and purse are over two years old now. It doesn't hurt to "shop your own closet" in this unstable economy when millions are losing their jobs.
Striped shirt and shorts: Abercrombie & Fitch
