The SSENSE September 2010 editorial is raw and sensual, but artistic enough to save it from vulgarity.  I can't afford this Lanvin fur coat but I hope to see the Lanvin for H&M version at the Atlanta H&M.

Also, I developed a slight obsession with the shoes below.

War on Oil

After nearly three weeks of constantly greasy hair that remained oily and laden with stringy strands of product buildup even immediately after daily shampoo, I decided it was time for a serious intervention.  Vidal Sassoon Anti-Dandruff Shampoo (HKD $200 / USD $26) failed to eliminate the grease, and it might have contributed to the waxy residue on my bangs and crown, because I had stopped using L'Oreal Elnett Hairpray (USD $15) about three weeks ago in an effort to reduce the product buildup.  Herbal Essences Drama Clean shampoo (USD $4.29) also failed to "degunkify" my hair as advertised, even when I left the lathered shampoo to soak in my hair for up to five minutes.  Consequently, my dandruff problem worsened; my hair only got oilier; and my scalp felt itchy all the time.

After some extensive research into home remedies and clarifying shampoos, I begrudgingly bought a USD $23 Frederic Fekkai Apple Cider Clarifying Shampoo.  It took one week for the shampoo to arrive after I ordered it from neimanmarcus.com with free shipping.  I was skeptical about its ability to clean my oily hair with its three weeks' cumulative waxy product buildup.  But this stuff actually worked on the first time when I lathered and left it on my hair for at least five minutes before rinse.  Fekkai Apple Cider Clarifying Shampoo removed the vast majority of the waxy buildup and restored my hair to its original silky, ultra fine softness.  OMG.  I am so very pleased.

Frederic Fekkai, you're my new hero.  Target stores need to add this product to its Frederic Fekkai inventory, so that I don't have to go track it down at luxury department stores or professional salons.  I'm looking forward to tomorrow morning, when I shampoo with Fekkai again.  Hopefully, on the second use, 100% of the product buildup will be washed away.

I love the playful sense of humor in these Lanvin wedding dresses.  Don't worry; I won't impose such nonconformist dresses on my future bridesmaids.  I think I definitely want to wear Lanvin at my own wedding, but I'm not going to be as rock-and-roll fabulous as the model below.
